- Halong Bay: a UNESCO World Heritage Site of limestone islands, with kayaking near Bright Cave and a visit to Sung Sot Cave, one of the largest caves in the bay.
- Hoi An Ancient Town: a UNESCO-listed trading port of the 17th and 18th centuries, with old merchant houses and the Japanese Covered Bridge, built around 400 years ago.
- Ba Na Hills and the Golden Bridge: a 150-metre walkway more than 1,400 metres above sea level, reached by one of the world’s longest cable cars.
- Saigon Central Mosque and the Central Post Office: the city-centre mosque built in 1935 at 66 Dong Du Street, and a working French-era post office.
- Mekong Delta and Cu Chi Tunnels: a sampan through water-coconut canals and the wartime tunnel network north-west of the city.
Halal Food and Muslim Travel Notes
- Halal meals: lunches and dinners in Hanoi, Hoi An, Ho Chi Minh City, the Mekong Delta and Cu Chi are served at halal restaurants with certified halal food. See our guide to halal restaurants in Saigon.
- On the Halong Bay cruise: Halong Phoenix Cruise has no halal kitchen, so meals on board are seafood or vegetarian with no meat. A cruise with a halal kitchen, such as Mon Chéri Cruises, can be arranged at extra cost.
- At Ba Na Hills: lunch is a buffet inside the resort that is not halal-certified. We recommend choosing from its seafood and vegetarian dishes.
- Mosques: the tour visits Al-Noor Mosque, the only mosque in northern Vietnam, on day 1 and Saigon Central Mosque on day 6.
- Dress code: shoulders and knees must be covered at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and are expected at mosques, temples and pagodas.
Who This Tour Suits – and Who Should Choose Another
- Good for: a first trip to Vietnam when you want the north, centre and south in one go, families, couples and friends who are comfortable with two domestic flights and a moderate amount of walking.
- Choose another tour if you would rather arrive in Saigon and add Tam Coc and the War Remnants Museum – take the Vietnam Muslim Tour Package 10 Days – or if you want a beach stop in Nha Trang, in which case the Vietnam Muslim Tour Package 12 Days fits better.
- Not included: the domestic flights Hanoi – Da Nang and Da Nang – Ho Chi Minh City (quoted once your dates are fixed), Ninh Binh, beach time, and dinners on five evenings. The cruise and the shuttle bus to Halong Bay are shared.
Is 9 Days Enough to See Vietnam from North to South?
Nine days is enough for a good first look at all three regions, as long as you accept a brisk pace. You get a full city day in Hanoi, a night on Halong Bay, an afternoon in Hoi An, a day at Ba Na Hills and three days around Ho Chi Minh City. What you give up is slow time: Hoi An is seen in one afternoon and evening, and there is no beach day.
If you can spare one or two more days, the best additions are a second night in Hoi An, a day in Ninh Binh for Tam Coc, or a free beach day in Da Nang. With twelve days you can also add Nha Trang, as our 12-day package does.
Customize Your Vietnam Muslim Tour Package 9 Days
- Reverse the route – arrive in Ho Chi Minh City and leave from Hanoi – to fit your international flights.
- Add a second night in Hoi An or a beach day in Da Nang, or a day trip to Hoa Lu and Tam Coc from Hanoi.
- Upgrade to 4-star or 5-star hotels, or to a cruise with a halal kitchen such as Mon Chéri Cruises.
- Swap the shopping afternoon in Saigon for the Independence Palace and the War Remnants Museum.

Local Expert Notes
By Jimmy, Saigon Muslim Tours
- The Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum opens in the morning only and is closed on Mondays and Fridays. It also closes every year for maintenance – in 2026 from 4 September to 2 November – when you see Ba Dinh Square and the complex from outside. Book a morning arrival in Hanoi if you want to go inside.
- From June to September, storms can close Halong Bay to cruises at short notice; if that happens we move the cruise to another day or suggest an alternative.
- Hoi An and Da Nang are wettest in October and November, when the Ancient Town can flood; February to April is usually the most pleasant time.
- Notre-Dame Cathedral in Saigon is under restoration, with completion expected around 2027 or later, so you see it from the square outside.

FAQs
1. What does the Vietnam Muslim Tour Package 9 Days include?
Private guides and cars in each region, airport transfers, 7 hotel nights with breakfast, 1 night on a shared Halong Bay cruise in a private cabin, 8 lunches and 3 dinners, entrance fees, the Mekong Delta boat and bottled water. International and domestic flights, visa, travel insurance, drinks and tips are not included.
2. How much does the 9-day Vietnam Muslim tour cost?
Prices start from USD 722 per person and depend on group size, hotel class and travel dates; see the full price table in the Price tab. The two domestic flights are quoted separately. Contact us for the best price with your dates and number of travellers – we usually reply within 24 hours.
3. Is the food halal on this tour?
Lunches and dinners in Hanoi, Hoi An, Saigon, the Mekong Delta and Cu Chi are certified halal, served at halal restaurants. Two exceptions: the Ba Na Hills buffet is not halal-certified, so you choose seafood and vegetarian dishes, and the Halong Bay cruise has no halal kitchen, so meals on board are seafood or vegetarian with no meat.
4. Is this a private tour or a shared group tour?
The guides and cars are private to your group in every region. The Halong Bay cruise and the shuttle bus to the bay are shared, with your own private cabin on board.
5. How much walking is involved?
Moderate. Hanoi’s Old Quarter, Hoi An and Ba Na Hills are explored on foot, while crawling in the Cu Chi Tunnels and kayaking on Halong Bay are optional.
6. What is the best time for a 9-day trip from Hanoi to Saigon?
February to May usually suits all three regions. Central Vietnam is wettest in October–November and Halong Bay storms are most likely from June to September. Note that the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum is closed on Mondays and Fridays and from 4 September to 2 November 2026; at those times you see it from outside.
7. Can children join this tour?
Yes. Children under 6 sharing their parents’ room are free; see the children policy in the Price tab for older children.
8. Can we start in Saigon or change the route?
Yes. The route works well in reverse, and we can add nights in Hoi An or Da Nang, a day in Tam Coc or a halal-kitchen cruise. Tell us what you need.
9. How is this different from the 10-day Vietnam package?
This tour starts in Hanoi and ends in Saigon in nine days. The Vietnam Muslim Tour Package 10 Days runs from Saigon to Hanoi and adds the Independence Palace, the War Remnants Museum, Hoa Lu and Tam Coc.
10. How do I book this tour?
Send your travel dates and group size through the Tour Inquiry form or on WhatsApp (+84 88 626 1368). We usually reply within 24 hours with a quote and itinerary; see our deposit and payment policy.
