Highlights

- Cu Chi Tunnels and the Mekong Delta: wartime trapdoors and underground kitchens, then a river cruise and a hand-rowed sampan.
- Nha Trang: Po Nagar Cham Towers, a sacred site since the 8th century, and around 1.5 hours of snorkelling over the coral of Hon Mun.
- Hoi An and Ba Na Hills: a UNESCO-listed trading port of the 17th and 18th centuries, and the 150-metre Golden Bridge more than 1,400 metres above sea level.
- Hanoi and Tam Coc: the Temple of Literature, founded in 1070, Al-Noor Mosque at 12 Hang Luoc Street and about two hours by rowing boat through river caves.
- Halong Bay: a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with kayaking among the limestone islands and Sung Sot Cave, one of the largest caves in the bay.
Halal Food and Muslim Travel Notes
- Halal meals: lunches and dinners on land – in Ho Chi Minh City, Cu Chi, the Mekong Delta, Nha Trang, Hoi An, Hanoi and Tam Coc – are served at halal restaurants with certified halal food. See our guide to halal restaurants in Saigon.
- Exceptions: the Ba Na Hills buffet lunch is not halal-certified, so choose its seafood and vegetarian dishes. The Nha Trang island boat and Halong Phoenix Cruise have no halal kitchen, so meals on board are seafood or vegetarian with no meat; a halal-kitchen cruise such as Mon Chéri Cruises can be booked at extra cost.
- Free evenings: dinners are included on days 1, 8 and 10 only; on other evenings your guide can suggest halal restaurants nearby.
- Mosques: the tour visits Saigon Central Mosque on day 1 and Al-Noor Mosque, the only mosque in northern Vietnam, on day 8.
- Dress code: shoulders and knees covered at mosques, temples, pagodas and the Po Nagar towers; swimwear for the island day.
Who This Tour Suits – and Who Should Choose Another
- Good for: travellers with about two weeks who want history, beaches and Halong Bay in one private trip, families with children aged 5 and over, couples and groups of friends.
- Choose another tour if you have ten days and can skip the beach – the Vietnam Muslim Tour Package 10 Days follows the same route without Nha Trang – or if you want only the south and its coast, in which case the Saigon – Mui Ne – Dalat – Nha Trang Muslim Tour 7 Days fits better.
- Not included: the three domestic flights (quoted once your dates are fixed), drinks and dinners on eight evenings. The cruise and the shuttle bus to Halong Bay are shared with other guests, and the Nha Trang island boat may be too.
Is 12 Days Enough for Vietnam?
Yes – twelve days is enough to see the main highlights from south to north and still have some time on the beach. You spend three days around Saigon, two in Nha Trang, two in central Vietnam and four in the north. Three domestic flights keep travel time down, although day 6 depends on the Nha Trang – Da Nang schedule, which has only a few direct flights a week.
The trip is long enough that it rarely feels rushed, but Hoi An is still short: if you land late on day 6, you see it mainly in the evening. Adding one night in Hoi An is the change we suggest most often. With two more days you could also include Mui Ne and Dalat on the way north.
Customize Your Vietnam Muslim Tour Package 12 Days
- Add a second night in Hoi An or an extra beach day in Nha Trang or Da Nang.
- Add Mui Ne and Dalat by road between Saigon and Nha Trang, as in our 7-day southern route.
- Upgrade to 4-star or 5-star hotels, or to a cruise with a halal kitchen such as Mon Chéri Cruises.
- Reverse the route or shorten it by dropping one region to fit your flights and budget.

Local Expert Notes
By Jimmy, Saigon Muslim Tours
- The Independence Palace is open every day from 7:00 to 18:00 and the War Remnants Museum from 7:30 to 17:30, so a morning arrival on day 1 covers both.
- Direct Nha Trang – Da Nang flights run only a few times a week, mostly in the afternoon or evening, so we confirm day 6 once your dates are fixed.
- Nha Trang and Hoi An are wettest in October and November, when island trips may be changed and Hoi An’s Ancient Town can flood; February to May is usually more reliable.
- From June to September, storms can close Halong Bay to cruises at short notice; if that happens, we move the cruise to another day or suggest an alternative.
