Halal Restaurants in Mui Ne 2026: Every Halal Option Checked, with Mosque and Seafood Tips
Is there halal food in Mui Ne? Very little. In October 2026 we found one halal-only restaurant, T’HaLal Restaurant on the Mui Ne beach road, and two counters at the Big Chill International Food Court that claim halal meat but share the venue with a bar. No restaurant in Mui Ne or Phan Thiet holds a halal certificate, and the once-popular Mughal House halal restaurant has closed. Fresh seafood and vegetarian dishes are the usual back-up, and most Muslim travellers pre-order their halal meals. This guide explains every option we checked, ranked by Tripadvisor and Google Maps ratings, with the halal status, alcohol policy, address, hours and map link for each.
Last checked: October 2026 by the Saigon Muslim Tours team, who book halal meals for our guests in Mui Ne. Heading up to the highlands or along the coast? Da Lat and Nha Trang have more choice: see our guides to halal restaurants in Da Lat and halal restaurants in Nha Trang.

How We Checked and Ranked These Restaurants
Older blogs still list several Indian restaurants in Mui Ne as halal. When we checked them, most serve beer, make no halal claim themselves, or have closed. We only list a restaurant when it is Muslim-run, holds a halal certificate, or states that its meat is halal, and we say clearly where alcohol is served on the premises. We left out restaurants that have closed and places with no halal statement.
Since July 2025 Mui Ne and Phan Thiet are part of Lam Dong province, and the old Ham Tien and Mui Ne wards now form Mui Ne ward. In October 2026 we searched the public register of Halal Vietnam (HVN) for the old Binh Thuan area and new Lam Dong province and found no Mui Ne or Phan Thiet restaurant on it; the only local entry is a dried-fruit factory. You can search the HVN certificate register yourself. Restaurants are ranked by Tripadvisor rating first, then Google Maps rating; none of the three is listed on Tripadvisor yet.
Halal Restaurants in Mui Ne, Ranked by Rating
1. Wrap & Roll at Big Chill Food Court
The best-reviewed place in Mui Ne that claims halal meat, one of the counters in the open-air Big Chill International Food Court. Recent reviewers, including Muslim travellers, were pleased to find halal shawarma and kebab plates in Mui Ne. Be aware that the food court is a mixed venue: it has a bar and a pizza counter, and we could not confirm that no pork is handled on site. Wrap & Roll is not certified and, as far as we could confirm, not Muslim-run.

Phone ahead and order before you arrive.

Practical Tips for Eating Halal in Mui Ne
- Pre-order every halal meal. T’HaLal cooks mainly for booked groups; call a day ahead and choose your dishes.
- Eat seafood with care. Mui Ne is a fishing town and grilled fish, squid, prawns and scallops are everywhere. Ask for no lard, no pork stock and no rice wine, and remember that grills are shared with pork.
- Carry snacks on the dune tours. Sunrise and sunset jeep tours to the white and red sand dunes, the Fairy Stream and the fishing village take three to four hours, and there is no halal food on the route.
- Watch the fish sauce stalls. Phan Thiet is famous for fish sauce, which is halal, but many street snacks such as banh xeo and grilled rice paper contain pork.
- Plan around Da Lat or Saigon. If you are touring the south-central coast, enjoy more halal choice in Ho Chi Minh City and Da Lat, and keep Mui Ne meals simple.
