Halal food and Muslim travel notes
Meals at restaurants on land are certified halal on all four packages and reserved before you arrive. Two exceptions are stated honestly on each tour page: the overnight Halong Bay cruise and the Ba Na Hills buffet do not serve certified halal food, so seafood and vegetarian dishes are arranged there instead. In Saigon the itineraries include Saigon Central Mosque on Dong Du Street, and in Hanoi you can visit Al-Noor Mosque, the only mosque in northern Vietnam.

Are flights included in the packages?
Short domestic flights that link the regions are included: one flight on the 8-day package and two on the 9-, 10- and 12-day routes. International flights to and from Vietnam are not included.
Is the food halal for the whole trip?
All restaurant meals on land are certified halal. On the Halong Bay overnight cruise and at the Ba Na Hills buffet, certified halal food is not available, so we arrange seafood and vegetarian dishes there and state this on each tour page before you book.
Which cruise is used in Halong Bay?
The packages currently use Halong Phoenix Cruise, with kayaking, Sung Sot Cave and sunset on the sundeck. We can upgrade you to another Halong Bay cruise on request when we prepare your quote.
Can I start in Hanoi instead of Ho Chi Minh City?
Yes. The 9-day package already runs from Hanoi to Saigon, and any of the other routes can be reversed or adjusted when we customise your itinerary.
How far in advance should I book?
One to three months ahead is ideal, especially for travel between November and April and around holiday periods, so we can secure your preferred hotels and cruise cabins. Shorter notice is often possible; just send us your dates.
