Is There a Halal Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City? The Honest Answer (October 2026)
No. We checked the public register of Halal Vietnam (HVN), the country’s main halal certification body, other Vietnamese certifiers and the hotels themselves: no hotel in Ho Chi Minh City holds a halal certificate, and halal certification in Vietnam is still given mainly to food producers and restaurants. Some booking sites tag Saigon hotels as “halal-friendly”; that usually means halal food nearby, an alcohol-free minibar or a breakfast without pork on request, not certified food. Almost every hotel in District 1 also serves alcohol.

How We Chose These Hotels
- Walking distance to Saigon Central Mosque or Al Rahim Mosque and to Muslim-run halal restaurants.
- Ratings: strong Tripadvisor and Google Maps scores, weighed with the number of reviews.
- Transparent prices: the hotel’s published rates where available, otherwise a dated Booking.com price.
- A range of budgets, from a 3-star boutique hotel at about US$88 to 5-star hotels with pools and suites.
Also worth knowing: Aluna Ben Thanh Hotel at 48–50 Nguyen An Ninh Street, right on the halal street, is the only hotel where guests and the manager mention a halal breakfast buffet. It has no halal certificate and a lower Tripadvisor score (3.0/5, Google 4.4/5), so it is not on our list, but we can book it on request.
