• The Independence Palace opens 7:00 am–6:00 pm and the War Remnants Museum 7:30 am–5:30 pm; with a morning arrival we see both before lunch, while it is cooler.
• The Cao Dai Holy See holds four ceremonies a day (6:00, 12:00, 18:00 and midnight). We aim for the noon ceremony, so day 2 starts at 8:00 am for the drive of about 2.5–3 hours to Tay Ninh.
• Notre-Dame Cathedral has been under restoration for years and work is expected to run to 2027 or later, so it is usually seen from the outside.
• Cu Chi is hot and humid; wear light, long clothing you do not mind getting dusty and bring water. The tunnels are narrow, so the short crawl is optional.
