• The Independence Palace opens every day from 7:00 to 18:00, including weekends and public holidays, but can close for official events announced in advance; if so, we rearrange day 1.
• Cu Chi is hot and humid for most of the year. We go in the morning; light, breathable clothing and insect repellent help, and the crawl through a tunnel section is optional.
• The Bien Hoa–Vung Tau expressway opened in full in May 2026, but weekend traffic out of the city can still be heavy, so we time the drive to avoid the worst of it.
• From May to November, showers usually arrive in the mid-afternoon and last 30–60 minutes; the Mekong boat trip is planned for the morning and midday.
