Ho Chi Minh Muslim Shopping Tour 4 Days Itinerary in Brief
- Day 1 – Saigon city tour: airport pick-up, the Independence Palace, the War Remnants Museum, a halal lunch, Saigon Central Mosque, Notre-Dame Cathedral and the Central Post Office.
- Day 2 – Mekong Delta: Vinh Trang Pagoda, a private boat between the islets of My Tho, coconut workshops in Ben Tre, a bee farm, a sampan ride and an orchard, with a halal lunch.
- Day 3 – Cu Chi Tunnels and shopping: the tunnels in the morning, a halal lunch, then Ben Thanh Market, Saigon Square or shopping centres of your choice until late afternoon.
- Day 4 – Departure: free time for last-minute shopping until your airport transfer.
Highlights
- Shopping afternoon: Ben Thanh Market for souvenirs, coffee and dried fruit, and Saigon Square for clothes and bags at bargain prices.
- Independence Palace: the former presidential palace where the war ended on 30 April 1975.
- War Remnants Museum: a moving collection of photographs and exhibits on the Vietnam War.
- Saigon Central Mosque: built in 1935 by the Indian Muslim community, at 66 Dong Du Street.
- Mekong Delta: coconut-candy workshops, honey tea at a bee farm, a sampan ride and fruit in an island orchard.
- Cu Chi Tunnels: the tunnel site, wartime weapons and a map that explains how the network was built.
Halal Food and Muslim Travel Notes
- Halal meals: lunches on days 1–3 are served at halal restaurants with certified halal food, and breakfast is at your hotel. Dinners are free so you can eat near the shops; we can book halal dinners on request, and our guide to halal restaurants in Saigon lists options close to the shopping streets.
- Mosque: day 1 includes Saigon Central Mosque at 66 Dong Du Street.
- Muslim clothing: tell us what you are looking for and your guide can add suitable shops to the shopping afternoon; see our Saigon Muslim shopping guide.
- Dress code: cover shoulders and knees at the mosque; comfortable shoes help on market days.
Who This Tour Suits – and Who Should Choose Another
- Good for: families and groups of friends who want the main sights of Saigon and time to shop, with a guide who knows where to bargain.
- Choose another tour if you would rather add the Cao Dai Temple and halal dinners – take the Ho Chi Minh Muslim Tour 4 Days – or want a full shopping day with Cholon and the Cham Muslim neighbourhood, in the Ho Chi Minh Muslim Tour 5 Days.
- Not included: dinners (available on request), the Cao Dai Temple and Vietnam visa fees.
Is 4 Days Enough for Sightseeing and Shopping in Saigon?
Yes. You see the city’s key landmarks, the Mekong Delta and the Cu Chi Tunnels, and still have an afternoon and a free final morning for shopping. Because day 3 ends in the city centre, you can carry on browsing near your hotel in the evening, when many shops stay open late. Serious shoppers who want Cholon, the Duong Ba Trac Muslim neighbourhood and more mall time should add a fifth day.
Customize Your Ho Chi Minh Muslim Shopping Tour 4 Days
- Upgrade to a 4-star or 5-star hotel close to Ben Thanh Market and the shopping streets, so you can drop off bags between stops.
- Add halal dinners on any evening, or extend the shopping afternoon into a full day.
- Add a day for the Cao Dai Temple, or for Cholon and the Duong Ba Trac Muslim neighbourhood as in the Ho Chi Minh Muslim Tour 5 Days.
- Reorder the days to fit your flights, for example by moving the shopping afternoon to your last full day.

Local Expert Notes
By Jimmy, Saigon Muslim Tours
- Bargaining is normal at Ben Thanh Market and Saigon Square – start well below the first price and stay friendly; malls and brand stores have fixed prices.
- The Independence Palace opens 7:00 am–6:00 pm and the War Remnants Museum 7:30 am–5:30 pm, so with a morning arrival we see both before lunch.
- Notre-Dame Cathedral is under restoration expected to run to 2027 or later, so it is seen from the outside; the Central Post Office next door is a good place to buy postcards and stamps.
- Leave space in your luggage, carry small notes in Vietnamese dong for markets, and keep valuables close in crowded aisles.

5.0"We recently enjoyed the Ho Chi Minh Muslim & Shopping Tour: 4 Days – 3 Nights and it was an exceptional experience! This tour is perfect for Muslim travelers looking to combine sightseeing with shopping in Southern Vietnam.
Our journey began in the bustling city of Ho Chi Minh, where we visited the top attractions and historic landmarks. The Mekong River Delta tour was a serene experience, showcasing the beautiful landscapes and river life. The highlight was the Cu Chi Tunnels, where we explored the historic underground network used during the Vietnam War, which was both educational and fascinating.
What made this tour unique was the shopping experience. We had plenty of opportunities to shop for Muslim clothes and souvenirs at local markets, which was a delightful addition to our trip.
Throughout the tour, we were served delicious Halal meals at various local restaurants. The food was authentic and flavorful, ensuring we could enjoy the local cuisine without any worries about dietary restrictions.
Saigon Muslim Tours did an outstanding job organizing this tour. The itinerary was well-balanced, offering a mix of cultural exploration and shopping. The attention to detail and commitment to providing a Muslim-friendly experience were commendable.
I highly recommend the Ho Chi Minh Muslim & Shopping Tour: 4 Days – 3 Nights to any Muslim traveler. It's the perfect way to experience the best of Southern Vietnam while enjoying excellent service and Halal-friendly arrangements."
